By Joann Brandis

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - The Point of Purchase Show of 2006 is soon upon us and should be bigger and better than ever. The P.O.P. Show will feature the brightest participants from all over the west coast in 23 different categories. For more information on how to enter or attend this event please visit our web site www.sfpopshow.com

"As retail branding continues to be a key marketing initiative, we find this event growing every year," says Joann Brandis, SF P.O.P. Show Director. "In fact, due to industry demand, we have added a retail branding seminar as part of the one-day offerings."

The show will celebrate excellence and creativity while reinforcing a sense of community among P.O.P. professionals. Awards will be given in each category, and special awards will be presented for Best of Show, Best Structural Design, Best Original Art, and Best Photography.

Alfredo Muccino, Chief Creative Officer of the Liquid Agency will be presenting on "Building the Brand Experience at Retail." This two hour presentation is designed to be of interest to brand managers, retailers, and to agencies that design retail merchandising programs.

All competition entries will be on exhibit at the Awards Show and Cocktail Party on Thursday, October 19 from 5:30 to 9 PM, and the Seminar and Mixer Preview will be from 3 to 5 PM.

History of the P.O.P. Show:

The SF P.O.P. Show started as part of the San Francisco Ad Club. It was an event focusing on P.O.P. and retail advertising. About 6 years ago, the San Francisco Ad Club discontinued the event, and the SF P.O.P. Show Planning Committee took it on as a challenge. They have hosted 5 P.O.P. Shows, and is run by volunteer members.

Goal of the event:

* Allow West Coast producers and manufacturers to showcase their work
